Traction-Lok Rebuild kit: M-4700-C ?
99 F-150 5.4L: 8.8" / 3.55 Rear end
So, I have decided to rebuild the Traction-Lok clutch packs within the stock diff. I was looking and came across the carbon fiber clutch pack setup from Ford Performance. Part# M-4700-C.
This kit seems to be geared towards mustangs and Shelbys though. Does anyone know if there is any reason it would not or should not be used in the F-150? All 8.8" differentials have the same guts aside from being 28 or 31 spline as far as I have found. Apparently the S-Clip in the F150 is a lot stronger too.
