Questions on installing Detroit True Trac

Getting ready to buy so need to know what type of oil to use and how much? I have a 99 XL 5.4 with 9.75 in the rear. Getting it from Summit but its recommending 80W90 gear oil? Thanks

Eaton says 80w90 conventional, no synthetic or friction modifier. 5.5 pints.
