98 f1 xl. I bought the truck with it stuck in 2 high i think. I cant really tell because it just doesnt move. So, how to i get in unstuck..

 

i have a 99 f150 with a shift 4x4 with non locking hubs just bought the truck with 97,000 on her and you literally have to pull with all your might to put it into 4x4 high even with the truck in neutral. anyone have any solutions for the problem im having or is having the same issue? im new to the site and new to owning a f150.

 

Have you tried shifting it while the truck is rolling slow?

 

Maybe the 4x4 shift linkage needs lubricated with WD-40 or something similar.
