power steering problem

power steering problem

changed power steering pump,return line an high pressure hose,still having problems ,feels like it sticks while turning an then lets lose then sticks again while trying to turn,any thoughts

Sounds like the lower steering shaft U-joints are bad...somewhat common problem. Go here: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ar...t-04-08-a.html

With the engine warmed-up, pull the cap off the reservoir; if you see champagne bubbles, you have air in the system. To work air out, slowly go from lock to lock (with steering wheel) and air should gradually work out of the system.

gearman do I leave the cap off resv while turning lock to lock if there is bubbles

Yes, Leave the cap off while working any air out of the P/S System.
