any lock right experts?
I just installed a lock roght into my rear end and im having some issues. I did the test like the manuak says and it seems to be working fine. I can park one tire on ice and the other on tar and light up the one on tar so I know it's working. And when im turning corners on tar I can hear it ratcheting around turns when let off the gas and if im on the gas it scratches the inside tire something fierce.
Now on to my problem. Drove it around town a bit today and if im turning a corner that has ice on the inside of the turn so that the inside tire is on ice but the outside tire is on dry tar it unlocks and the inside tire spins. Once it straightens out around the corner it locks up. Ive gotten it to do it 4 times today.Tried rereplicating it but it kinda did it when least expecting it. Thats only if I turn the corner off the throttle it does it. If I stay on the throttle it stays locked and shoots me around the corner. Now it's never suopose to let 1 shaft spin slower then the ring gear, but all 4 times it did it it spun pretty good so I know the outside tire was moving slower then the ring gear cuz it wasnt spinning at all. Is it just the nature of the beast with these things? Any ideas what could be causing it?

When you let up on the throttle it unlocks. Because the inside tire had no traction is spun faster than the outside. The diff is designed to ratchet going around turns and by design the ice side was travelling faster thus imitation a turn in the opposite direction. This diff is designed mainly for off road use.
