99 F150 Rear End Swap

With a lot of help from this site I am getting closesr to swapping out my bad 8.8 rear end with a 9.75 size rear end. I am a little nervous about this so figured I would ask a couple of more questions before doing it.

Would you recommend going up to the 9.75 from 8.8 or would you go with the same size? From my understanding the only difference is the drive shaft would need to change. Other than that the larger size should bolt right up.

When looking I am seeing locking and non-locking. I am assuming they are talking about non-LS and LS. Would it be wise to put in a LS rear end since I am replacing it? My current rear end is a NON-LS.

thanks for all the help that you have provided me so far on this.

Get a LS 9.75. Found mine at http://car-part.com/ You should be able to find the drive shaft there too.
