4x4 Problem?
4x4 Problem?
Situtation : I've had my truck(2011 fx4) parked for the past three months. its only ben driven on about an acre of land in that time, approximately once every two weeks to ensure the breaks are in workin order and just to get the truck started once in a while.
On one occasion, i was driving it and a mouse popped up from under the hood and onto the plastic part where the wipers sit, it soon fell off.
however, i stopped the truck and inspected under the hood for anymore, all the wires were fine. nothing looked out of the ordinary! so to be on the safe side, a buddy told me about Bounce dryer sheets, apparently mice hate the scent. I placed them in and around the hood and interior.
On the second occasion, i was driving and i wanted to engage the 4X4 it had no problem with the shift. however, when i went to put it back into 2wd, it was almost as if the the rear drive shaft or axle shaft on both the front and back didnt want to spin. kinda like the E-brake was on, although it wasn't....eventually it did its thing and it was working fine... Any thoughts or ideas on what that could have been?
since I've stored it, its had about half a tank of gas with I havent used much of. do you think i should have used a fuel stabilizer or any other type of product?
thanks...
