Hello all.

As the title states, I am in need of a new axle. The current one was rebuilt 1 to 2 years ago and it's back to making noise. I figured it would be easier to replace the thing this time. It's about the same price as rebuilding anyway.

My question is, what are my options for donor vehicles?

2002 F150 5.4L. 9.75 rear end. Shocks are mounted to the back of the axle housing.

I'm finding quite a few 02-04 econoline axles for cheap, but they appear to have one shock mounted to the front of the axle housing. Am I seeing that right?
