NUTS! I was just looking under my truck this morning when I discovered that my rear pinion seal is leaking like a seive! It's off to the dealer, I guess. I also discovered I need to get under there with a power washer and get the rest of the Ohio mud off there before I take it in... they're gonna be suspicious.

Questions: Could either the mud I was in or the sand dunes have caused (directly or indirectly) the leaky pinion seal?

Could the leak be related to the vibration I've got at 70 mph that feels like a wheel out of balance?

nuts! I had this same problem with my 97... at least THAT one waited until about 25,000 miles! This one hasn't broken 7000 yet!
