i own a 98 f150 with 4.6 v8 , 4x4 5 speed manual transmission
speedometer does not work , odometer does not work , cruse control dowes not work
i have replaced both sensors , checked gear inside transfer case, checked a/c output from sensor in rear diff , i temorarly replaced the guage cluster with one from a friend, nothing works , i have checked all the fusses and all the wirring rthat i can get my hands on, i believe the wirring to the sensors is ok they are both recieving dc voltage with the truck running however the rear diff reference voltage is 5.01 dc volts and the one in the transfer case is 9.8 is this correct what else can i check what fusses are related i will check into them more i do not have info as to what fuse is for what - loast the owners manual

If it is a cable driven speedo/cruse control, then check the inner cables. I think that cable driven cruse control has 1 cable from the trans and 1 from the cruse to the speedo.
This is a guess, so take it for what it is worth. But it does sound like a broken cable (if it's cable driven).
