In a bind

I went to change my pinion bearings and I think I caused more trouble than I ended up fixing. I've searched but I can't find a good write up on how to do it. I tried going from the u joint and I disassembled that unit and got te outer bearing out but before I put it back together or go further I need a how to. I thought it would be easier and I'm either way in over my head or missing just one thing. Help would be appreciated

well i put it all back together as best i could. there was a lot of play in the whole thing so i decided that i am buying a kit from summit racing for a whole rebuild and going with a 4.10 ratio. front and rear. spin my 33s.
