Hey all. Just bought a 97 f150 4x4 electric sotf from a buddy. Went into 4x4 fine first night, tried it again next day, and now it's stuck in 4hi. Vacumes seem ok, solenoids seem ok, checked everything we could think of in fact. Finally took shift motor off transfer case and manually shifted drive shaft to 2hi, but unsure how to switch the shift motor to 2hi position so we can reinstall. I know the info is here somewhere (came across it last night), but can't locate right thread/post now. Help please!

 

Ok. Now it's in 4low. Truck is kicking into 4x4 by it's self. We put sotf in 2hi, manually put the driveshaft in 2hi, and manually put the shift motor in 2hi. Took her down the road and she dropped into 4low on her own. Didn't think I could be more confused about the d**n thing than I was. Apparently I was wrong. Any ideas?

 

Put everything back in 2hi manually. Put shift motor back on, but didn't connect wiring harness. Seems to have no problems now, but currently have absolutely no 4x4. So any ideas to fix this problem would definately be appreciated. Will check forum semi-regularly to veiw replies. Thanks in advance.
