Axel codes
A while back there was a post about codes in the door jam. My r-axle code reads as 19. Dos anyone know what this means. I checked the tag on the pumpkin and it reads 355 and some other stuff. But no LS. Recently off-roading I was basically doing holeshots and BOTH back tires were spinning. Now I am all confused. See sig. Truck was ordered with almost every option from what I can tell. Not sure why they didnt order LS.
Can someone help me determine if I do in fact have LS or not?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Axel codes
2winturbo,
19 means 3.55 open differential. They did not order LS because you did not tell them to, I suffered the same punishment with my 2000 F-150 XLT 4x4 ORP. Recently had a limited slip put in.
Open differentials don't prohibit both tires from spinning, as they are designed to equalize torque in both wheels, both tires can and do spin depending on what the traction/weight situation is.
If you wanted to super double triple check, you could jack the rear end up and spin one tire. If the other spins in the same direction you have ls, if it spins in the opposite direction you have an open diff.
