04 e 250 rear diff?

04 e 250 rear diff?

Has limited slip,anyway to tell via vin,whether its 9.75" or Dana 60,has 5.4,4r70w,& 3:73 r&p,Thk u in advance,Phil

i got behind a late model e-250 or 350, couldnt tell , and it had a DANA for sure. I saw the oil plug, and these are not full floaters , but they have 8 lugs. GM does ., or used to, use a heavier 8 lug non full floaters. all you have to do is see the flat end of the axle., like a std one but with 8 lugs... rossford

might depend on the engine. I know 4.6 in the truck got the 8.8.

Is there a tag on the axle? I dunno about the vans, but I believe the F-250LD has a 10.25 like the 7700 package F-150 (7 lug) and the F-250HD has a 10.5.

I think it would be a Dana 60 if it's 8 lug. Pretty sure the 9.75 was never used in the vans and there are no 8 lug 9.75s. Could you post a pic of the diff cover?

i agree i dont know of any 9.75 8lug, and i have seen the newer sd f250 up have a dana 60 and the where either a 10.25 or 10.5, dont remember. i do remember them being 8lug dana 60 though. i know the new f150 have a hd package as well those have a 10.25 7 lug. hope this helps somehow
