I am new here, so i hope i posted in the right place. i bought a 89 f150 (rough) 5 speed. Truck runs great except for at idle, it feels like its bouncing
not running rough, bouncing. could this be a motor mount.
the whole truck shakes. I have replaced plugs and thew some injector flush
in there. truck only has 119,000 miles on it. I dont see the motor moving, its kinds wierd.
I have one more question, When you about to shift gears, when it reaches the limit, it sputters a little, is this normal? is it like a govoner in there???????

 

What engine do you have?

Replace the cap, rotor, and plug wires.

The 4.9 is a very low revving motor, don't even take it over 4000 rpm.
