2000 gears

I have a 2000 f150 4x4 5.4 I am running 325 MTZ's and getting horrible power from my motor. Can anyone tell me what gears are in these trucks. I am thinking that they are 355s and so I am thinking of going to 410s do these sound right? Also the guy that is instantly them told me it would be cheaper for me to get the parts. Do you know what all I need and also some links or names of some good parts( not top of the line but not bottom line either). He told me to get the gears, and some new carrier bearings and some kind of crush tube or something that goes at the end of the drive shaft or something. Any help would he apreciated

your truck most likely has 3.55 gears, alot of guys run 4.56's with 35's. i ordered my gears from wayne at diffsonly.com. yukon is a really good brand to get if you can afford them and you will need a master install kit for them if you want to replace the bearings. the front is a reverse rotation 8.8 differential and your rear is a 9.75 axle.

4.30 would be a better choice than 4.10's

I was told if I go over 310s I would have to buy new carriers. Is this true?
