Cv replacement please help

Hey everyone, so got the entire front end lift put on yesterday evenening, got the tires put on, went to go torque down the wheel hub nut... (with the torque specs i got online which was 145 ftlb) and BAM. Snapped the bolt right off...

I need to get this damn thing back on the road, and if I cant get this part today, its down ATLEAST another 4 days until Monday...

Ford is saying its $400 bucks for the part?! this cannot be right?

Please help guys, do I have to replace the entire CV axle or just that shaft?

Go to the auto parts alot cheaper.
And you will have to replace the whole axle.

Try auto parts places like auto zone and advance auto parts. I've gotten a cv axle from auto zone before, and it was a little under $100

NAPA was around $50 when I did mine. Way cheaper than anywhere else and a lifetime warranty.

I didn't know you could get them that cheap. I always buy from auto zone cause they have a good rewards card system. Obviously it's succesful marketing for them

I always check autozone, oreilly's and NAPA. They are all crap parts these days anyway. I was suprised NAPA came in so low. They are usually on the high end. I never have to buy them again but I see some cracks in the boots already, I hope they don't split. NAPA does make you keep the receipt for the warranty on some stuff though. Kind of a scam there.
