Underbody wash problem
Underbody wash problem
What's up guys? I wasn't sure where to post this but i figured the powertrain subforum would be best. Whenever I was the underbody of my 98, a problem arrises. When I start her up and put her in reverse the truck stalls almost completely, especually if on a hill. If you try to go backwards it barely moves and if you get on her it sounds as if the rear axle may break or something. If you play with it and start to back out immediatley after the shift, it will then proceed to go in reverse. No problem with gears, they all shift fine. As i said i'm not exactly sure where its coming from just want to get some ideas out.
Thanks

I first noticed it when going through an automated wash while you're in neutral gear. (bad idea but was in need of a wash). Thought it may be from that. Recently noticed though that it does this when washed at home as well. My drive way is somewhat sloped if that makes a difference.
