Gears

So I will probably get gears in the near future. What should I go with if I am wanting good mileage and decent power. I have the 4.6 v8 and 35 inch tires. I do NOT want my mileage to go down, but the way it is now, I cant even hardly pass people. I have custom vmp tunes, and gotts mod with true duals

Yeah it would but they don't make a reverse rotation 4.30 gear for the front diff. Only 2wd trucks can run the 4.30's.

Like str8t six said, there's no 4.30s for the front axle, so your only choices would be 4.10s or 4.56's. For 35's, 4.56s would suit you better. 4.10's still probably wouldn't have enough power, but might get you a little more gas mileage than stock. 4.88's might also be possible, but those would more than likely be overkill, and hurt your mileage. 4.56's will put you around stock power and mileage again.

this would be a first if someone actually found 4.30's. I've never seen them as an option either.

He's not making it up. There are reverse rotation 4.30 gears, but it looks like they can only be used on F-250's/350's, and Excursions. Just did a quick google search.

They're set up for Dana 50 and 60 diffs in these links.

Just Diff's 4.30 R&P

Randy's R&P 4.30 R&P

Yeah they make them, but it seems like a moot point, still can't use em on an F-150 front IFS.

Where did you find reverse rotation 4.30's for the ford 8.8 front diff?
