Broken driveshaft question

installed RCX 6" lift and 35's about a month ago.. few days ago i was messing around in the dirt and heard a loud bang.. crawled underneath and driveshaft was gone.. question is.. curious if this is just a freak thing.. or something i can expect to happen from the lift and tires .. and is there anyway to beef it up to stop it from happening ..

Replace broken parts have shaft rebalanced and drive. Not a common failure point. You should be tearing the differential apart before this happens.

Yes make sure you get it balanced.

will ask at work if they have a link to the write up on driveshafts. basically a driveshaft 101 that talks about balance, pinion angle, critical speed.

It is the sister company to where I work and they build custom shafts for nascar, dragracing 4X4 etc..
