Powertrax Install tips or tricks???
Does anyone have any tips or tricks for installing the Powertrax no-slip unit? Ancient chinese secrets and such.
Things you've run into that were easy once you had the eureka moment...
I'm installing the unit in a 97 F150 - 8.8" rear of course.
Thanks for the help,
Tom

ttimoney,
Rather than point you to a specific webpage, I'll just suggest you go to Yahoo (each search engine has different results) and do a search for Powertrax installation. That should pull up a couple webpages I have seen. Two that I remember distinctly seeing was installation in a Ford Bronco and a J*ep, and I 'm sure there are others there. These webpages have pictures too of the installation.
Although installations on different makes and models might not be exactly what you are looking for, they might provide some answers anyway. In fact, I think I remember reading the J*ep installation, and they were wondering whether the shims they took out were supposed to go back in with the Powertrax unit, and they attempted to do so, but had to later back their work up because they weren't supposed to reinsert the shims.
Little things like that might help you out. And you might get lucky and find a illustrated installation for a 97 F-150 in your search.
