My truck is making a fast clicking sound when accelerating forward and in reverse. It also from time to time makes a clicking noise when shifting into gear from park and downshifting while at speed.

He is a video of the u-jont, I dont know if this is normal behavior or not so I could really use your opinion.

i know nothing about u joints but i would say it is bad. i would assume there shouldnt be any play in it.

 

LOL...thats pretty sloppy...Im surprised you are not getting vibration when driving...def time to replace...Easiest thing to do is pull the driveshaft, and have a trans shop do both joints and balance the shaft at the same time...

 

yeah replace them asap especially if you start getting vibrations at high speeds. trust me you don't want your driveshaft falling out like mine did

 

Thanks everyone, I figured it was bad. Just went to autozone and picked up two. Called the tranny shop down the street and they are going to push out the old one and put in the new ones at no charge. I'll give the guy a 20 that does it for me.
