Vent tube question?

Vent tube question?
Probably a dumb question but my front axle vent tube is hangin down pretty low and wasn't sure where exactly to put it out of the way and still function properly. 98 f150 4x4

any where you want above the axle if you do alot of trail riding that takes you through water the higher the better then
