rear end

Whats up guys and girls? I have a 2001 supercrew 4.6 with an open diff. I was thinking about getting a L/S through Ford Racing. Ive heard some good things and bad things about track loks from the factory. Is the one from Ford Racing with the carbon fiber clutches any better than factory or are they the same thing?

Thanks

Go with a Detroit (Eaton) "Tru-Trak" Non-Clutch L/S unit and don't look back !!

Yeah, Tru-Trac all the way baby! My Ford LSD rear end is starting to make noise. I'm going with taller gears and Tru-Tracs front and rear.

Torsen type diffs are better than clutch types, IMO. No parts to break or friction modifier to add to the oil.

thanks for the replies. yeah the tru trac and powertrax-no-slip are still in the running. But im still wondering if the carbon fiber clutches from ford racing are any better than stock.

Thanks
