another re gear question...

So with my lift kit sitting in the garage waiting to be installed I am getting the 35'' tires and 17'' rims come end of this month - since I am getting about $6000 back on taxes I figured I might as well invest in the regear from 3.55 to 4.10 - I am trying to look at prices for parts and see that 4 wheel parts is the only reasonable place.

getting a full front and rear set up I am looking at $600 and thats not including my military discount - so if anyone knows of any other place please let me know

That sounds about right, their or ebay. I don't kno about superior gear tho? I've heard some bad things. I would look into motive, yukon, etc.. And with 35's and 4.10's, its not going to have as much gettup as it does now in stock form. Go with a 4.56, I mean they're relatively the same price. That'll give your power back plus some. (more commonly purchased gears are gonna cost more 4.10's/4.56's)

oh wow that is a really good price!

thanks man! my thing is I know its a truck and its going to suck gas but I am driving from NY to AK and although the Army is paying for it is going to suck having to STOP all the time - I rather invest in this and save in the future going w/ a 4.56 with a 5.4L V8 what should my MPG be for highway? 15 to 16?

Idk what kinda tires are you getting and with the 6" lift you might have high hopes.. but im not sure maybe someone with that setup can comment.

Why are you getting a minor installation kit for one axle and a master kit for the other?

15 to 16 may be wishful thinking no matter what gears you have - the lift and the 35's are gonna kill your mileage no matter what you do.

thats all it offered on the website - but from what everyone mentions on here getting the regear done is better option in the long haul
