Steering problem need help.

Hi guys,

I have a problem with my steering. When I turn right and take it back to a straight position, the steering wheel is crooked about 5-8degrees while the wheels are straight. Funny thing is if I make a quick burst left hand side the steering wheels goes straight just as the wheels (read normal conditions).

There is no vibration, no clunking, no strange noises, steering fluid level is right where it should be. I've checked every bolt connecting the steering rack and the truck comes back from an alignment about 2 weeks ago (new lower ball joints, new inner and out tie rod ends).

I have now clue what could be the problem... any ideas?

Did you check the pitman arm coming out of the steering box?

I have a 2006. There is no such pitman arm on the newer style as far as I know. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyone? This is really bugging me out. Otherwise I'll have to take it to the stealership.

Problem found. Lower steering shaft: both Ujoint are seizing up. I'll be ordering the part and replacing it when time allow me to.
