Flared Ball Joint (HELP)

Ok so I'm replacing the ball joints on my 98 Lariat and the driver's side lower ball joint has somehow flared at the top so I can't press it out of the control arm. Any tips or tricks to get it out? Thanks

Tom

Wouldn't this be a question to post in the Suspension forum?

Did you remove the clip? Grind the ridge off and press it out.

Silverbullet09 stated that it was driver side lower. FYI You can now purchase uppers with replaceable ball joints.

yup moog carries replacement ball joints for their arms, however its not much more to get the new arms with new bushings.

take the snap ring off, and you can just use a file or something if you dont have a grinder, knock the "high spots" down and press it on out
