differential cover

I have a 2000 f-150 4.6, my differential cover has a hole in it. I need to know the ring gear size for a new one.
8.8,9.75, or 10.25
How can I check this?

Yes. The V-6 and 4.6 came with 8.8 and the 5.4 came with a 9.75. The 7700 GVW package came with a 5.4 and 10.25.
