from 3.55 to 4.10

97 4x4 f-150 4.6

yesterday i did a 3.55 to 4.10 gear swap and put a ls locker in the front.
today i take it for a ride and everything is fine. except for when i let off the gas and coast to a stop there is humming from the rear. kinda like tire noise but out of my 315 i have no noise previously. here is a list of what i did swap out in the rear end.

pionion bearings
shims
seal
crush sleeve
pionion nut

i left the diff bearings . and outter wheel bearings as those were is good shape

i did notice that there is a gear for the speed sensor in the rear but as anyone with a 97 or 98 knows the speed sensor is in the back of the transfercase. should i have taken it our?

it also makes the humming noise when i turn to the right while decelerating.

is something loose in there?

did i really just not put enough lube in there? i put about 3 and 1/2 and the friction modifier. 2 oz. per quart

please help.

p.s. 4.10 is not what i though it would be! note to anyone wanting to just go to 4.10 dont!!!!!!!!! u wont be happy i should of gone 4.56!

Id have to agree its gear whine!

But a step from 3.55 to 4.11's is worth it if the combo is right... just because it isnt right for you dont mean it want be for someone esle...

in regards to that ^^^^^^^ i was simply meaning that if you are trying to decide between 4.10 and 4.56 thats all. like you said 77MUD, just because i didn't like doesnt mean someone else wouldnt.

but gear wine what do u mean by that ? gear set too tight? not tight enough?

oh and i put new clutches in the housing as well.
