Which Posi Unit?

HAD! That's had an Auburn Pro Series in my truck, which decided not to like me anymore, an went south on me. Still not sure what went first, or what was the cause. But, it looks like to me, that the pin nut broke came loose, whatever. AN the pin slide out. AN just grenaded the whole freaking rear. Auburn unit is trashed, along with my ring & pinion. Already have my new gears, an installation kit. But, wondering if I should go back with the Auburn Pro Series. I don't do any HARD off-roading. But, do pull 2 different types of trailers. One for the quads, an do hit the woods, to get back to where we ride. An a 14ft duck boat for duck hunting, which, of coarse, you gotta hit the trails & mud to get to the landings. Was wondering on your guys thoughts on the Auburn, or other units. I'm open for suggestions. My buddy keeps telling me that that unit is junk. Bt, really haven't had a problem till now, an I really can't say it was the units fault for failure. Is there a CSI unit for rears!

I use my 08 Screw almost the same ways as you do. I'm running a TrueTrac in the rear and cannot find anything bad to say about it. It is transparent on the street, grabs when it needs to, and there is no noise, ratcheting, or tire chirping to deal with. In addition, there are no clutches to change because it is gear driven. It is a fire and forget system. Can you tell I like mine?

You can't go wrong with a True Trac.

Thanks guys for the replies. An it's funny, all you guys say Truetrac. Cause, I did my homework yesterday, an decided to go with the Eaton. I was on the phone with Eaton techs, an was telling them what I had, what happened, an what I was looking for. An that the Truetrac was the way to go. They even knew that the Auburn Pro Series was only recommended for tires up to 35's. An to not go with their LSD unit, cause of my tire size. That the Truetrac is good up to 38's. I should have went with Eaton from the start, but was talked outta it. Next time I'll stay with my gut feeling. Thanks again guys!
