HELP! Major traction issues
I have recently acquired a 2008 regular cab 4x2 5 speed and when it rains my tire starts to spin the minute I hit anything but pavement. When it comes to differentials or gears I know nothing, but what are my options when it comes to LS or some sort of locker? The son of a local farmer turned me onto OX lockers. I like the idea of controlling when both wheels get power, and investing $1500 in this truck would be better than buying a new one. I’m not using this for off roading or anything, just getting up my washed out gravel drive in the rain. Does anyone have any ideas short of buying a different truck?

Until you get it, put the E-beake on about 3 or 4 clicks, that keeps the loose wheel from spinning so easy. Just don't forget to take it off when you get to the road.
For what you are after the factory Trac-Lok would be just fine.

If was mine I would look into the Eaton/Detroit TRU-TRAC unit. You never know it's there until you need it. Have one in mine and works perfect. It's a mechanical LS unit (no clutches to wear out). Just one option to consider....
