iv got the serpintine belt replaced befor but still randomly its squeeking all the time, i was told to but some belt dressing on the belt and it makes the noise stop but its a pain in the *** to open the hood and put silicone on the belt everytime, is there a way to fix this? do i need new pullys or a better belt?

its possible that your belt could be worn some. i have a goodyear gatorback on my truck and it seems to work fine with no noise issues. you might also want to check the belt tensioner. start the truck, open the hood and try to listen to see where the noise is coming from.

Belt dressing just stops the squeak - it's still slipping. Pull the belt, check all pulleys, clean them thoroughly, and put a new belt on.

You need to check all the pulleys carefully - careful use of a mechanic's stethoscope may help you pin it down to which one is squeaking. If you are going to change the belt again, I'd consider changing the tensioner too.
