Question Speedo gear for 97 F150

Just had 4.30's installed today (2WD). I have BFG 285/75R-16's. The original setup was 3.55's, 255/70R-16's, with an orange 20 tooth speedo gear. I think a 22 tooth gear would have been just right, but they don't make it. The closest is 21 or 23 teeth.

So what would be better, the speedometer running too fast or too slow? Would there be any performance enhancement from the computer by running the speedo a little fast?

Hey,

My speedo is running fast due to swapping out the factory General 550AS 235/70-R16's tires with Good Year Wranger RT/S 265/75R-16's. About a 10% difference. Where can buy a replacement gear to adjust for the difference? This is the VSS gear right? Thanks!
