regear questions
Hey, Im considering getting my truck regeared to compensate for the 35s on my leveled 2006 FX4 and im looking for advice.
Is it worth the money? I cant do it myself, so id have to pay installation.
I already have the factory limited slip, so would it really be beneficial to upgrade to a new lsd or selectible locker?
Does doing this void the warranty, or will the dealer not be able to tell?
Does it cause any harm to the truck or increase wear on the rest of the driveline?
BTW- Im not going to get larger tires any time soon, so im thinking 4.56 would be the best gear ratio, as I had the 3.73 stock.
Also, slightly off topic, but does anybody near Oklahoma City have 4.56 gears installed in their truck?

Well the gears can only do good im pretty sure. it will put way less stress on the tranny and your power will be back, and yes 456 would be the best for 35's. I just bought 37s and are waiting to regear the back as i have already done the front

I can't speak to the comparison of a factory LS to aftermarket, but I can say that my true-trac LS is awesome compared to the open diff I had. I've heard it's one of the best LS diffs out there, even compared to factory track-loks, and it never has to be rebuilt.
At the very least, since you are already in there I would suggest rebuilding your current LS with the SVT carbon fiber clutches.
