I have a chance to pick up a dana 44 front axle out of a 79 ford bronco it still has everything attached even the radius arms and it has 4.56 gears (which will have to change) with a locker in it for $350 its gonna go in my 95 runnin the 39.5 iroks i dont do heavy every day mud thrashin but the couple times a month mud hole and its my DD i think it will be ok as long as i take care of it ...... just wanting opinion from people who have these axles swapped in or are gonna swap and any advice on the install would be great....

it can be ok...

or it can be a grenade.

Alot depends on your right foot. If you get it id totally build it. Look into chromoly axle shafts, and upgraded joints. I almost went that route but i know my style driving would make it snap.
