4:11s???

Does anybody run a 4:11 gear ratio? I oredered them because jawsgear said it will work best for the f150 and also they make 4:11s for both front and rear differentials. I want to know how much effect it will have and how much it increases your RPMs.

What is your current ratio? If you don't know, look at the axle code on your door jamb sticker and search - example, H9 is 3.55 limited slip.

Minor point, but I've never seen 4.11's for F-150 axles, just 4.10's.

I have 3:55's which is stock. Yeah 4:11 is the biggest they make for f150s and doesnt suck gas like the 4:10s. Im just looking for good gains in torqe without compromising MPGs.

FWIW it is 4.11 and 4.10 is the same thing from a gearing standpoint. And it is not necessarily 4 to 10, it is 4.10 to 1; this is what ":" means. The difference from stock to new gears is what works best for you. What size tires are you wanting to run, what type of driving are you doing, highway, trail, towing? Also there are other taller gears available, ie. 4.30s (front, reverse cut gears have o be custom made), 4.56s, and 4.88s are all commonly available for the F-150.

I dont know much about gears. I have 35" toyos and i want more torqe! Are 411s good to go with? I hope so cause I already ordered them cuz they were on sale and had matches for both front and back differentials, and I now know how the gears work so its making more sense to me. A 488 is a bigger diameter so it will allow more torqe right? so a 411 is a about quarter of a inch bigger in diameter than the stock 355?

4.10's are fine with a 5.4 but 4.56's are better for a 4.2 or 4.6 on 35's.

With 3.55's, 70 mph in OD is 1670 rpm, with 4.10's it will be 1930.

You do know that with 35's, your speedo is already inaccurate without a reflash or a tuner, and it will still be inaccurate with new gears.

I would have went with 4.56's for 35's... Even if you have the 5.4L.

4.10's are perfect for 33's, IMO.

Yeah but higher gear ratio is less MPG right? Yes I know my speedo is off but the gears will actually have an opposit effect which will make it more accurate but not what it should be. I will be ordering a gryphon soon which will rejust my speedo for both tires and gears. I think I made the right choice by going with 411s!

I have 4.10s in my 2007 F150 and run 1950rpm at 60mph. If you do a lot of off-roading you are going to want 4.56s for 35s, if it's mostly street driven than 4.10s will do fine and give you better fuel mileage.

I searched briefly when I did my gears as I would have gone that round if I found any. I didn't search super hard, but I never found anything in 4.30.

I haven't found them either.... That would be a perfect gear ratio for my needs...
