99 F150 V6 5spd 8.8 rear 130k

My pinion seal has been leaking for a bit, so its time.

After I unbolted the drive shaft I noticed the pinion flange was loose, the nut was snug but not tight, and there was in and out slop in the shaft.

I cleaned and have inspected the bearing and race and they look fine.

My question is should I pack the bearing before reassembling?
