Close to warrenty
I am getting close to the warrenty running out on my 98. Anything I should double check before it is too late?

- Ford mudflaps, side steps, bedliner and bug-guard
- K&N Filter
- 3" Performance Accessiories Body Lift
- Tinted Windows
- JBL Audio Custom Sub-box w/8" subs under rear seat
I've got one idea for you. The last vehicle I had that ran out of warranty was my 95 Ranger. I took it in just before expiration for a check up, and the dealership wiped the computer clean and re-programmed it with the original settings (EEC V). If anything is slightly out of spec. (computer wise), it will be corrected with this procedure. Good luck.

bigredf150,
Have you checked your doors for cracks?
Check out this site;http://arrowaranch.com/truck/crack.html
Also look for any leaks, Engine, Tranny, T-Case, Both differentials, Power steering, Brake lines, Master cylinder. Wheels, Brakes, Steering componants for signs of loosness. Look for rust bubbles in the bottom inside lip of the doors and the tail gate. Cracked weatherstripping, misaligned body parts, wind noise from the doors. Any abnormal sounds from the engine tranny diff or T-Case. Run your 4x4 before going in for the final check. I am sure I have missed as few but this should be a good start.
