Rear End Ticking Noise

I was wondering if anyone has experience this in thier trucks. I am having a ticking noise in the rear end.. sounds like its coming from the drivers side rear. Sounds like when you get a rock in the wheel. It only happens when your going 20 mph to 5 mph. When i am coming to a stop right when i hit five mph it stops. It also stops when you give it gas. I have had many people look at it and here but they can not find any problems. Someone recently traded in the same truck at a locat dealer that had this problem but to fix it the replaced the rear differrential. Does anyone know what this could be or have had this happen to them.
Thanks

Check the u-joints. They often click when going bad.
