im having the same exactly problem.... p0171 and p0174... Ive changed the 02 sensors, cleaned the mass air flow, replaced the egr valve, checked for vacuum leaks, cleaned the upper plenum where the egr holes were clogged, and today I went out and bought a new fuel filter.... i let you know if it trips the same code again tommorow!!!

No need for 75mm BBK TB unless your going for really high horsepower to the rear wheels...

Back to OP question...just did this...had same issues P0171 and P0174 and humming noise from the air intake when the gas pedal wasnt pressed...

BlackFord123...I did all that prevnt maint also..but it was simply just getting a new IAC valve...sometimes referred to as an Air Bypass Valve..I cleared the codes with my Scangauge II and no more humming noise and codes have not returned...also dont forget to unhook neg battry cable... Good luck and hope that helps
