So, Fourwheel drive is popin?

Today at the hunting club, had to go throw a hole. And i put it in 4X4 and i rolled about 2 foot and it makes this loud popin noise? Any sugestions on what it could be? 2005 Ford F-150 XLT 4X4. Suggestions please
