you can find your ratio very easily by looking at the differential cover on your back axel. Post the code that's on the little metal tag that's attached to it and we can help you out.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Axle Codes (LS=Limited Slip / Traction Lok):

F-150:
19 – 3.55 Non-LS
18 – 3.08 Non-LS
H9 – 3.55 LS
B6 – 3.73 LS

F-250:
27 – 3.31 Non-LS
26 – 3.73 Non-LS

On the door tag, under axle, it should have a code that looks like one of these.

There is no number like that. Its the sticker when you open the door right on the side correct?

Yes, it's on the end of the drivers door, that closes up to the door jamb. It has several tings listed. Color, Engine, etc and one of them is Axle. Right under where it says "axle" there should be a code.

This is from a thread down in our How To section. It tells how to decode the numbers. This is the tag.

Do you by any chance have 7 lug wheels? Check the last few posts in this thread where they discuss a heavy duty axle.

26 is a 3.73 non limited slip no matter what model Ford it's in or what size axle it is.
