Axles oil

Hi,

I want to change the rear and front axle oil.

I don't know if i have a 8.8, 9.75 or 10.25 axle.

What do i have to take care of when changing oil?

How do i put out oil and how do i refill?

Other advices welcome!!

BAST.

What is the axle code on the door? If it has traction lok, it will need a viscosity improver additive.

But, the 9.75" rear takes 75W145 Synthetic, with additive maybe.

The front takes 75W90 regular lube.

The rear is drained by removing the rear cover. To fill either you may need a suction gun that will suction out the bottle and fill the diffs.
The rear uses rtv for a gasket. I recommend buying a real gasket because if any oil gets on the rtv before it sets, it will leak.

You have a 9.75" rear and a 8.8" front, and you have limited slip in the rear.

The rear requires 75W140 full synthetic, with a bottle of friction modifier. The front takes standard 80W90.

I have no idea. RTV will work fine if it's the correct type and used properly.
