wheel bearing help

wheel bearing help

im pretty sure i have adjustable wheel bearings, i have a 2002 4.6 f150 and my wheel bearings are loose, i know how to tighten them and pack them with grease, but i cant get the covers off the wheel are they even suppose to come off and if so how can i get them loose, i have some special pliers for that with the cut edges to pull them off but they wont budge

I assume you have a two wheel drive and are talking about the front wheels. Yes, the silver cap comes off, I use my gasket scraper and a hammer to carefully tap around the edge of the cover. They're pretty tight.

yea sorry its 2wd and im talkin about the front,

thanks ill go try to take them off with out tearing them up lol
