brand new transfer case broke
well i got my truck back $2600 to fix the steering pump and have a new transfer case put in...well so today (my birthday which is going pretty bad.) i was on a very slick mud road and i put it in 4 low to test the 4wd out to see if it was still making the ticking noise....guess what?? it did it again brand new transfer case going ticktickticktick...ford said i had a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty on it what should i do?
They might, u know how dealerships are if u didn't get any aftermarket parts from them, then if something goes wrong they blame on you saying what u did cause the problem, dont know if i am wording it right
I have a buddy who just got a brand new tundra from the dealership and he was asking how much for running boards and they told him almost a $1,000 so he said he would just get them somewhere else and they started freaking out saying it would void the warranty and a bunch of bs
Its very possible they will say that in order to get out of it, some of the dealerships around here look for the aftermarket stuff to void out warrantys.
but i mean i can see on a new car warranty them saying...yea it was b/c of this aftermarket part...but i paid cash to have the stuff fixed...how do i know they didnt mess up when installing the t case

Problems...
A) you went to a F"N RETARDED DEALER.
B) you let them hose you for $2600? HOLY HELL!
C) No real way to tell what "someone else did wrong" unless you tear it apart yourself and find out.
Fix
A) use the warranty. beware it may be something very simple, perhaps shift motors/forks linkage whatever yours may have.
plan B) if they give you guff about anything, remind them their face may bleed from an accidental "slip" to the counter top.

they WILL, ford has done nothing but give me a hard time with my truck since i got it. you would think paying over 40k for a truck would get you a little customer service
Are you sure it is the t-case making the noise? You have warranty. Did you have those wheels on the truck when they gave you the warranty? Take it back and have them fix it. Again.
