3.55 open

Ok, yea i've got the 3.55 worthless open diff, and I tow my share also..

I run 265/75/16 and that's as big as I want to run with my lil 4.6..

My main question is what all do you have to do to make it,atleast a 4.10 LS..

Has anybody here on this site done this?

you would need a 4.10 ring and pinion gear set, and a Limited slip differential.

You are looking at 300-800+ in parts.

I'm about 210 mi or so north of Austin, in Abilene..I've got reletives and friends in your area from Hutto, to the Buda area and in Austin..

I'm thinking pretty seriously about adding a LSD in the future but know very little about this area...

I have changed a complete rearend before on a 79 f100 I had many, many moons ago...It was actually pretty easy to do...
