Rear End Vibration

Working on a 98 F150. When leaving from a stop there's a vibration in the rear end. It's more noticeable when leaving from a stop and turning. There is nothing noticeable when the truck is moving. Only from a stop. Any ideas of what to look for?

If it is a limited slip rear, it needs a friction modifier for the clutch, assuming they are not shot. Normally when they are shot, they will not give vibration, but you will not have both wheels turning under power.

I recently had to do a crap load of work to my rear end. Bearings were shot. It was making a "warped rotor" sound

Chester,

That sounds close to what this truck is doing, has a slipping/chatter feel and sound to it when you take off. Truck has about 250,000 on it so I suppose the bearings could be out.

Rear end shake

My truck (feels like the rear) shakes like a mother at 35-45 mph and clears up by 50. Could this be the bearings, ujoint, or what? truck has 205,000 miles.
