How to identify rearend?

How do I indentify the rear end in my truck? its a 4x4 stx f150 that i was told it had a 273 rear end.. yes thats right.. 273.. But how do I know for sure? does anyone know where I can look to find it for sure? this is a 2005 f150.

Look on the door sticker on the drivers side, or there should be a tag on the read diff it's self.

did you look at the diff itself? there should be a tag bolted on it to the left\

There is an axle code on the door sticker - its 2 characters under "axle". Mine says "H9" which is 3.55 limited slip. It's the same sticker that has the build date, tire pressures, GVWR, etc. Look at the bottom row.

call parts dept at the dealer with the vin. thats what i did

Yes, it is a 3.73 limited slip.
