Painting Rear Axle

so when i got this truck it was never really washed on a regular basis.
i personally believe once a week will keep it looking new.
so my frame and everything below is greasy and dirty.

my solution is this:

1- spray the dirt and greasy stuff with engine de-greaser.
2- hose it off and brush of big dirt clod's and what not.
3- for a much better work space and angle to paint i would recommend removing the spare tire. it took me 5 minutes and was DEFINITELY worth it.
4- wire brush and sand paper the whole thing to get it looking new and a rough surface to prep for paint
5- once all clean tape off rubber hoses and things you don't want to paint
6- primer
7- paint
8- if you want a clear coat or sealer of some sort

here are some pictures oh my truck in the middle of step 4 (i also did step 5 because i did not plan on cleaning it so elaborately until i noticed how bad the dirt and grime was.)

(i finished tonight for the most part i might throw one more coat on but you can get a general idea....)

leave me some feedback on what you think....Thanks!

just Krilon interior exterior they didint have any special paint for a frame or metal besides high temp paint and i diditn need that so i just used regular paint that supposedly will keep some rust out..

and thanks for the feedback!

Gotta love the southern trucks. If you saw the bottom of my truck right now you would scream like an 8 year old girl!
