Where a good place to get some 4.10 for a 4x4 97 f150

Try going to the dealer and asking to see a Ford Racing catalog. I got my 4.10 gears out of there and they were the cheapest I found at the time (it was 5 years ago) I also worked at the dealership, but we did not get discounts from the catalog.

I only got one more question what rpm do u run with 4.10 and what rpmwith 4.56 at 70mph with 35/12.50r16

I will have a gently used set of Yukon 4.56 rear gears for a 9 3/4" rear for sale tomorrow (1.5 yrs. in truck and never off road). I have to use my truck to tow my Lightning so I am putting 3.73's back in. Let me know if you are interested.
I would have the front's also (8.8 diff.) but I am just dropping the drive shaft for now.

I just got my 4.56 Yukons not too long ago and im sittin at about 2000 rpm's at 70. Not too bad IMO.

Thanks for all your help. I believe 4.10s should put it back in its power band. This website may help other people decide which one they need.

If I just change the back gears and not the front will it hurt anything if I don't use 4wd?

you should be fine doing just the rear but whatever you do...do not put it in 4WD!!!
